D&D Yochlol Repaint – proto Shoggoth / small Shoggoth

I (re)painted another D&D Miniature that makes a great small shoggoth or proto shoggoth, or any other kind of Lovecraftian slimy horror

its a pretty cheap miniture to buy , and i can only recommend it , as it makes a great addition to any horde of Lovecraftian Horrors !

Got a new Camera and tested it out….

So i got gifted a Pentax K50 and must say it makes pretty good pictures

RAFM – Dark Young of Shub Niggurath – W.I.P

I finally got my hands on one of the really old RAFM Dark Young of Shub Niggurath miniature

the parts fit together horribly ( a thing i remembered from a few years back)

and most of the versions that people buildt didnt look that great to be honest. Most of the times the people leave the tentacles stuck together ( because it makes acting way more easy), allthough it just takes a knife to cut them apart and then you can bend them in any direction, thus making the miniature feel way more animated ! I seriusly dont get why people dont do this !

Also i used greenstuff to fix the huge strange looking gaps , that seperate the lower body part from the tenta…cly bits 🙂

I cant wait to find out how it looks painted

Strange Aeons Homunculi aka MUTOFFELN

I painted 5 smaller Homunculi for Strange Aeons

They are done by yours truly and i call them mutoffeln….i think they would make great nurglings too

Pathfinder Battles – Gug

I finished another miniature , this time its a Gug , a creature living in the Dreamlands

“It was a paw, fully two feet and a half across, and equipped with formidable talons. After it came another paw, and after that a great black-furred arm to which both of the paws were attached by short forearms. Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, shaded by bony protuberances overgrown with coarse hairs. But the head was chiefly terrible because of the mouth. That mouth had great yellow fangs and ran from the top to the bottom of the head, opening vertically instead of horizontally.”

I didnt change as much as i do usually because Pathfinder Battle`s Gug is one of the few prepainted miniatures that does NOT look like shit !

But i did change a few things . I Repainted the Eyes , Claws and did some work on the mouth.

i painted another D&D mini wich basically is a Shoggoth already

i dont know how to use it in strange aeons yet….but i guess ill find a way

 

 

Nightgaunt conversion

“But Carter preferred to look at them than at his captors, which were indeed shocking and uncouth black things with smooth, oily, whale-like surfaces, unpleasant horns that curved inward toward each other, bat wings whose beating made no sound, ugly prehensile paws, and barbed tails that lashed needlessly and disquietingly. This was a fun miniature to convert and paint

all in all it did not take much work and i am hugely impressed by the overall look. it may be a bit bigger then most people think nightghaunts to be , but i allways imagined it big enough to lift a human or a moonbeast off the ground, and having enough muscle to actually hold them, and lovecraft never comented on the size of a nightghaunt as far as i know 😀

Reaper Gargoyle to Nightghaunt

I picked up a Reaper Bones Mini called ” Mortar the Gargoyle”

and thought it will make a great Nightghaunt ( as i dont like any of the models Available)

also the Reaper Bones Minis are great choices for converting!

So i removed the face, addet some horns from an old Khorne Champions head and addet a tail

It came together in a great way

Sitting Liddle Cthulhu

as mentioned in an earlyer post i picked up a Bag of Cthulhu  from Fantasy Flight Games

there are a LOT of figures in the box (24 smaller and 6 larger figures)

so i painted one to use as a Scrawny one in a game of Strange Aeons

it looks pretty great, and im impressed with the amount of detail on the figures….. a shame really that most of them will end up as Terrain

Reaper Bones – Eldritch Demon – Strange Aeons Godling/Hunting Horror/ Starspawn

Yeah….long ish time no posts from me…thats because i moved ….and it kinda took longer then expected….

but i picked up a new mini here in the new town i live in

 

its  Reaper Miniatures ” Eldritch Demon” that obviusly is a Starspawn of Cthulhu…

allthough i think its a bit small…ish for a starspawn , im really looking forward to using it an a game of Strange Aeons
